Bite-Size Physics

Notice how the vibrating ball creates waves. The ball represents a particle vibrating left and right. The vibrating particle pushes other particles which push other particles. This creates a longitudinal wave. Notice also that the vibrating particle is moving in the same direction that the wave is moving.
